In the last decade, our schools have made great strides in academic achievement. For seven consecutive years, students’ English and Math scores have steadily improved. And once again, San Francisco was rated the top-performing urban school district in the entire state.
We have raised the standard for all students by making them fulfill A to G requirements so that every child graduates prepared to attend a UC or CSU.
As the current President of the School Board, Norman Yee believes we must continue to demand more from our students—particularly at our underperforming middle and high schools.
Norman Yee is also a strong proponent of language immersion schools that allow students to become fluent in a foreign language at an early age.
